Question: Write about theSocial Media Communication. Answer: Social Media and its Impact on Business Communication Social media is the phenomenon that is used by millions of individuals these days. This is because it acts as the medium to interact with the others whether it is people or business. It allows the people to create and develop the content that can be shared with others. The exchange of information can be done with the use of social media tools. Social media tools are dependent on the internet technology (Qualman, 2010). There are different platform that allow the users to use the different tools of these platform in order to share the information with others. The development in internet technology and emergence of Web 2.0 concepts allow the users to share videos, images and even to communicate with others through chat rooms. This invention has overcome the obstacle of distance as people sitting in different countries can easily communicate with each other through the social media platforms (Griffin, et.al, 2010). Communication is the major facility that has been provided by Social med ia technology to the individuals as well as to the businesses. This discussion below will clear out the impact of social media and its impact on the business communication in todays era. Communication is very much important for nay of the business. This is because business cannot be run alone. The businesses owners need to communicate with stakeholders of the business in order make its processes function. Customers are the major stakeholders, to whom the business needs to communicate now and then (Safko, 2010). The company that does not interact with their customers cannot able to retain them for long time. Social media helps the organization to be in the minds of the customers all the time. Most of the big companies in Australia are using social media as the tool to connect with their customers. Woolworth is one of them. Woolworth is the company that deals with grocery, home ware, and food and clothing products and operates in many countries along with Australia. As the company deals with range of products, it is necessary for the company to understand their customers well. The supermarket industry in Australia is very much competitive and thus it is mandatory for the organizations like Woolworth to make connection with their customers in order to retain them. The big challenge for the company is to know who their customers are and what they want (Edosomwan, Prakasan, Kouame, Watson and Seymour, 2011). Thus, communicating with them is the only option left with the companies. Woolworth has a social networking team that focuses on maintaining the social media communication of the business with the customers through various mediums. It has been found by that team that the customers of the company are not only brand savvy but also technologically updated. They have realized that technology can empower the customers. The company is engaged with so many social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. using the Socialbakers Builder and analytics. Woolworth uses this tool of Socialbakers to tailor their targeted audience according to their needs and requirements (Socialbakers., 2017). Through this tool, the company not only derives the data about the needs of the customers but can also provide customers support to them. This tool helps the company to meet their customers anytime. The companys e-commerce footprint is very impressive. The company earns around A$1.2bn from its online sales. The first tool of social media or internet technology that has been used by the company is its website. Its website is very color full and attractive and also has much information that helps the customers to know about the products and the service available for them. One of the very interesting features that have been identified in the website of the company is the Facebook Like button on the top right corner of the website (Econsultancy., 2017). This helps the customers to like the page of the company on Facebook and the link provided help th em to directly reach the Facebook page that provides more information. YouTube channel of the company provides short cooking videos to the people. Woolworth remains updated on Instagram and Pinterest also on regular basis. Communicating and advertising on social media arent necessary but still most of the companies using this tool to communicate and interact with the customers. Social media help the businesses in different ways to enhance their business communication. The first use of social media is making connections. The tool or the platforms of social media not only allow the companies post the information about also helps them to connect with their customers. The main focus of the companies these days is to make interaction with their customers and to need them in their businesses (Bovee and Courtland, 2012). Social media site of a company also act as the personal medium of broadcasting things. Advertising at these sites is very much cost effective for the organization and also have larger reach then offline campaigns. Online campaigning helps the companies to get the reviews and the response of the customers on daily basis and the immediate response from the customers help the companies to take c orrective actions if needed. It has been said that Facebook and twitter never sleeps. This means that business can communicate with their customers anytime anywhere. To summarize the above discussion, it can be said that social media is the subset of business communication and has great impact on the communication patterns of the businesses. Initially the companies communicate with their customers through surveys and interview that takes so much of efforts and cost (Crews and Stitt-Gohdes, 2012). However, the use of internet medium such as social networking sites for communication can help the companies to connect with their customers in cost effective manner. The obstacle of distances between the customers and the companies has been removed with the use of social media and it does not take extra efforts by the customers also to surf the companys sites online. This convenience to the customers has increased the use of social media as the communication tool for businesses. Islamic Art And Architecture Essays - Art Genres, Persian Art
Islamic Art And Architecture Islamic art and architecture points to the artistic accomplishments in the lands where Islam was the dominant religion and from the seventh century on. These lands were the Middle East, North Africa, Spain, Anatolia and the Balkans, and central and northern India. All the monuments and artistic objects, which may have been made with different materials and techniques, have a common artistic language. Islamic art was an art created for the setting of every day life. The most notable religious art were the mosque and the minaret. These were made with the purpose of having a place where people could express their devotion and learn the principles of the faith. Islamic painting developed in the form of book illustration and illumination. These paintings were made to help explain a scientific text and\or to reinforce the pleasure of reading literature or history. There are certain techniques that distinguish the decorative arts of the Islamic arts. These techniques involve the application of shimmering glazes and rich colors in ceramics and glassware. Other techniques include sophisticated silver inlays that convert the surfaces of bronze metalworks, extravagant designed stucco and wall panels made of carved wood, and textiles and carpets woven into millions of different patterns. 2 The oldest figurative representation of Islamic arts correspond to mosaics and painted murals. All of these are related to architecture since they were used to cover and decorate the walls of several constructions. These could have been religious or anti-religious places. The mosaics in these buildings are unique in that in them there are no representations of animals or humans. These absences are due to religious reasons. Only plants, big trees, and combinations of landscapes and architectonics, either real or invented, appeared in the mosaics. In the eighteenth century the use of the mosaics declined. On the contrary, the use of mural paintings had a long life in the Muslim art. It also represents a particular detail. This is its exclusive use of civilian characters in the buildings. In the Qusayr Amra palace there are remarkably, rich mural paintings. Here there are representations of hunting, athletic scenes, dancers, construction sites, the zodiac signs, historical characters, poetry, thoughts, etc., and a group of people surrounding another person in a throne. In conclusion Islamic art and architecture vary in a variety of ways because of religious reasons. 3 Islamic art in my opinion is very interesting and extraordinary. It is very cult and unique in that it displays many cultural diversity and religion. Painters and architects made these masterpieces showing scenes of everyday life. It reflect's the artistic creativity and ingenuity of these artists. It also reverberates typical customs of these people. The painting on the next page is the one that I will criticize. The first step is the description where I will tell the name of the painting, who made it, when it was made, and where it was made. Later I will explain the analysis which will say the elements and principles of art and how they are used. After that there will be an explanation of the interpretation. This will say how the time and place affected the artist's painting. Finally I will say the judgement. This will explain if the artwork contributes to the history of art. Description This painting is called "Laila and Majnun at School". It was made by the Persian artist Bihzad in 1494. It was painted in Her t but is know located in Afghanistan. It shows faces drawn with a sense of grace. There are many people working. There is also a large tree which has some fruits in it. There is 4 also what appears to be two openings to go out or into a building. Analysis The elements used in this painting are line, shape, value, color, and texture. You can see that lines are used in the edges of the wall, the small fence surrounding the tree, and in the borders of the painting. Squared and rectangular shapes may be seen in the fence and the openings in the wall. Value is used because although the painting seems very yellowish the tree has a totally different color because it is gray. There is also a large variety of colors in the clothes of the people. Texture is used in the wall of the painting. The principles used were proportion and emphasis. You can see that the proportions of the people are right in size compared to the walls. The emphasis is made on the tree which is bigger than everything else and

Why Deflation Doesnt Happen During a Recession
Why Deflation Doesn't Happen During a Recession When there is economic expansion, demand seems to outpace supply, particularly for goods and services that take time and major capital to increase supply. As a result, prices generally rise (or there is at least price pressure), particularly for goods and services that cannot rapidly meet the increased demand, such as housing in urban centers (relatively fixed supply), and advanced education (takes time to expand/build new schools). This doesnt apply to cars because automotive plants can gear up pretty quickly. Conversely, when there is an economic contraction (i.e. recession), supply initially outpaces demand. This would suggest that there would be downward pressure on prices, but prices for most goods and services dont go down and neither do wages.à Why do prices and wages appear to be sticky in a downward direction? For wages, corporate/human culture offer up a simple explanation: people do not like to give pay cuts... managers tend to lay off before they give pay cuts (though there exist some exceptions). That said, this doesnt explain why prices dont go down for most goods and services. Inà Why Does Money Have Value, we saw that changes in the level of prices (inflation) were due to a combination of the following four factors: The supply of money goes up.The supply of goods goes down.Demand for money goes down.Demand for goods goes up. In a boom, we would expect that the demand for goods to rise faster than the supply. All else being equal, we would expect factor 4 to outweigh factor 2 and the level of prices to rise. Since deflation is the opposite of inflation, deflation is due to a combination of the following four factors: The supply of money goes down. The supply of goods goes up.Demand for money goes up.Demand for goods goes down. We would expect the demand for goods to decline faster than the supply, so factor 4 should outweigh factor 2, so all else being equal we should expect the level of prices to fall. Inà A Beginners Guide to Economic Indicators we saw that measures of inflation such as the Implicit Price Deflator for GDP are pro-cyclical coincident economic indicators, so the inflation rate is high during booms and low during recessions. The information above shows that the inflation rate should be higher in booms than in bursts, but why is the inflation rate still positive in recessions? Different Situations, Different Results The answer is that all else is not equal. The money supply is constantly expanding, so the economy has a consistent inflationary pressure given by factor 1. The Federal Reserve has a table listing the M1, M2, and M3 money supply. From Recession? Depression? we saw that during the worst recession America has experienced since World War II, from November 1973 to March 1975, real GDP fell by 4.9 percent. This would have caused deflation, except that the money supply rose rapidly during this period, with the seasonally adjusted M2 rising 16.5% and the seasonally adjusted M3 rising 24.4%. Data from Economagic shows that the Consumer Price Index rose 14.68% during this severe recession. A recessionary period with a high inflation rate is known as stagflation, a concept made famous by Milton Friedman. While inflation rates are generally lower during recessions, we can still experience high levels of inflation through the growth of the money supply. So the key point here is that while the inflation rate rises during a boom and falls during a recession, it generally does not go below zero due to a consistently increasing money supply.à In addition, there may be consumer psychology-related factors that prevent prices from decreasing during a recession- more specifically, firms may be reluctant to decrease prices if they feel like customers will get upset when they increase prices back to their original levels at a later point in time.

Human resources management development Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Human resources management development - Essay Example The first and the foremost ethical obligation upon a company toward the employees in the hard times is to provide them with a healthy and safe environment to work irrespective of the external influences or the present conditions of the company. Employers need to keep the employees motivated to work hard and reassure them that hard times would be over with their effort and cooperation. The best way to achieve this is by taking the employees into confidence and explaining the whole situation to them; this promotes trust, reliability, and honesty in the relationship between the employer and the employees. Besides, this also explains everything to the employees so that they can start looking for alternative opportunities in time. However, the prime concern of the employer in hard times should not just be sustenance of the profitability of the business as this sends the impression to the employees that the employer is selfish and that the management was fake in its assertions that they al l make part of the same family. ââ¬Å"In the face of layoffs, employees often experience lower morale and productivity, higher levels of absenteeism and job-related stress, and a loss of faith in the businessâ⬠(canadabusiness.ca, 2012). The employer should try, as much as possible, to retain all employees and draw a balance between the profitability of the business and benefits of the employees. If the hard times result from the unethical conduct of an employee or a manager, the responsible employee should be dealt with as per the companyââ¬â¢s code of ethics while the rest of the employees should be dealt with in the same way as discussed before. AIG should not differentiate between its executives and other employees down the line in the organizational structure. For a company to be fair toward its employees, it is imperative that it fosters such a

The Global Justice Concept - Essay Example à The government is grounded on the concepts of fairness, equality, justice, and protection of the people's mutual interests. The government must do its share to ensure the citizens achieve their unique societal goals and objectives. The social contracts, including the United States constitution, reduce or prevent constant wars among individuals and communities. The social contracts ensure everyone will strive to comply with the contracts' provisions of justice for all stakeholders (Souryal 75).à Christian Unity Modelà During John Winthropââ¬â¢s sailing towards the brave new world, the Puritan religionââ¬â¢s Winthrop espoused his fellow ship passengers to become the beacons or guides for all humans everywhere (Gardner 106). à The New World is the current United States of America. Winthrop is a rich land owner and government officer in England. The ship was going to propagate the Christian brand of justice in the New World environment, in the other part of the world. The speech was done during his 1630 trip to New England. Winthrop's speech persuaded his fellow ship travelers to firmly establish the New England society's ecclesiastical (religious) government format. à Under the format, Winthrop convinced his fellow Christian followers to ensure the citizens of the New World will implement all religious policies or concepts. Winthrop insisted his fellow Puritan followers must establish the civil government, not the military government, within the New England community (Gardner 106).

Crimes Essay Example for Free
Crimes Essay Crime prevention is a major responsibility of law enforcement organizations. It is necessary to promote and maintain peace and order to the community by executing measures that lessens or diminishes crime rates as impacted by lawbreakers in society. Several solutions bring about the decrease in crime rates in the community. These solutions do not only depend on the roles and responsibilities expected to be carried out by law enforcement agencies, but also require cooperation from the people in communities and the government. Crime prevention should be a group effort because the will to prevent crime is everyoneââ¬â¢s concern. With this in mind, one possible solution for crime prevention is motivating the community to be vigilant and cooperative in responding to criminal offenses. Law enforcement agencies cannot prevent crime without the help of other members of the community. In this case, the roles of victims, witnesses, and whistleblowers are magnified. When victims, witnesses, and whistleblowers experience criminal offenses of any gravity or kind, they should report it to the police. This catches the attention of law enforcement agencies allowing them to respond to the situation in a timely and apposite manner. Aside from experiencing criminal offenses, people should be able to inform the police of concerns regarding potential offenses observed in the community. Staying one step ahead is better, and by informing the police of concerns or observations, law enforcement agencies are able to plan ahead to prevent crimes from happening. Another way to prevent crime is by being cautious or vigilant about oneself and his surroundings. People should take safety measures in order to protect themselves, their property, and other people from the harmful nature of offenses. This includes following tips on safety precautions as advised by the state, law enforcement agencies, and concerned citizens or private organizations (HCSO, 2008). Engaging in a joint effort by the neighborhood, such as the establishment of neighborhood watch groups, is also one possible way to reduce or eliminate crime. Crime prevention does not only necessitate cooperating with the police, but also with other members of the community. Neighborhood watch groups are composed of people from a neighborhood who are concerned with the communityââ¬â¢s safety and are willing to provide assistance to law enforcement agencies for crime prevention. Through collaboration and teamwork, people in the neighborhood are able to counter crime by evaluating their neighborhood and determining what steps to take in order to increase peace and order in their area. (Solutions for America, 2003) Technology and innovation also play a major part in reducing or eliminating crimes committed by offenders in the community. Law enforcement agencies use information technology in order to prevent crime and capture offenders. Crime rates, data sheets, and other background information about crimes, criminals, usual victims, and environments where crimes take place, etc. re stored electronically in a database managed and maintained by law enforcement agencies. Through this system or database, law enforcement agencies are able to share or view this information whenever needed for reference when it comes to predicting criminals patterns of potential risks that may cause the rise in crime rate in a particular situation. (SCRA, 2008) Continuous research and innovative techniques are being employed by private organizations in order to improve technologies that are being used by law enforcement agencies. For instance, the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center or NLECTC is active in research and experimentation in order to improve the quality, features, and functions of law enforcement technologies, making them more suited for crime prevention and criminal capture. Since technology demands high fees, it is the role of the state or federal government to allocate funds for this cause because technological advancement improves the performance of law enforcement agencies. Using technology automates law enforcement work, making it more efficient and timely in crime prevention. SCRA, 2008) Some of the gadgets that law enforcement use that assists in reducing or eliminating crimes committed by offenders include lightweight body armors, drug-recognition tools (through pupil scanning), cars (such as the Lotus Exige S which increases road safety for police officers especially when in pursuit), gunshot location technologies (computer that supervises specific areas to detect gun shots), video intelligence softwares for computers (may be used in houses, business companies, etc. or surveillance purposes), LED Incapacitator (it is a flashlight which emits LED light that restrains individuals when they look directly at it), and armed robots (apparently, some robots are utilized by law enforcement agencies by arming it with taser guns. (Gizmag, 2008) Focusing on rehabilitating crime offenders is also a plausible way in preventing criminal offenses. Restorative Jus tice is one way of rehabilitating criminals in order to reintegrate them back into society. It includes motivating jailed offenders to contribute to the community as a form of penalty. Restorative Justice also focuses on restoring damages to the victim and the community as a result of criminal actions taken by offenders. As a way to pay for crime offenses committed by offenders, they should be able to take necessary actions to patch up the relationship between the victim and the community to the offender. Through the penalties imposed to criminals, they are able to learn how to become responsible and cooperative citizens who area belt to make the right decisions. Moreover, restorative justice eliminates recidivism because it provides offenders the chance to correct their mistakes and become a valuable and accountable part of society.
